DIGITAL PLANT
At Topomaster we are regularly engaged in industrial projects where there is a need to update systems within existing installations. Delivering Digital Plant – the process begins with laser scanning the existing site. Afterwards creating as-built documentation and then working with the client through the design process and finally clash checking design against as built in a virtual environment.
In many cases this is completed on a project by project basis, at the end of which the data is filed away and lost to future works, resulting in duplicate costs and lack of continuity on each individual project.
At Topomaster we elaborate with our clients to undertake projects with a consistent and global approach.
By building up a digital database of all assets within an installation the client can use this information not only on a project basis but for the ongoing effective management of the installation, resulting in both time and cost savings.
For clients who have no experience in the management of digital databases, we can offer training as well as advice and help on the procurement and customisation of software to suit the client’s individual workflows.
As the need for operators to comply with ever more stringent safety management systems, a digital database of the asset can become an invaluable tool in cost-effectively managing the installation. A database could be used to efficiently manage ATEX zones for example.
