All the data of a component is stored in a central database. Thanks to the object orientation in COMOS, all the information relating to a component exists only once in the database. During plant operation, actual plant information forms the basis for risk-based maintenance strategies by prioritizing maintenance tasks for specific plant areas. With COMOS Walkinside, you enter new dimensions and can experience your plant in genuine 3D virtual reality. COMOS  allows you to represent your plant data as a realistic 3D model – not only for planning and simulation purposes, but also for maintenance and servicing: A prior simulation allows, for example, the precise planning and then effective performance of real maintenance work. Safety training can be performed with the Immersive Training Simulator under realistic environmental conditions and without any risk.

With structured project and plant documentation, COMOS enables a better overview and reliable decision-making processes. The object-oriented approach of COMOS permits holistic document management. The entire plant is fully technically modeled, and each internal and external document is stored at one location and linked to the corresponding plant component.
